Tina Dico on Eli Stone and Grey's Anatomy this week 11/20/08
We are releasing Tina’s new album on January 09. Well, actually it is 3 albums in one, a trilogy if you will. The album is called “A Beginning, A Detour, An Open Ending”. The Silent Years featured on NPR Music
This week’s episode of All Songs Considered on NPR Music features music by The Silent Years. "In just one listen I found what might be my summer pop album. The Silent Years make music Elliot Smith would be proud of", said the host Bob Boilen. Take a listen to their song, “On Our Way Home” here. The Silent Years’ album will be released on August 26th but it is now available for pre-order on Amazon. Be sure to check out the song from this native-Detroit band!


The Silent Years’ The Globe out August 26th On Defend Music
Defend is proud to announce the signing of Detroit indie rock favorite and Spin 2007 “Underground Artist of the Year", The Silent Years. The Silent Years will release their second full length album, The Globe, August 26th on Defend Music. The Silent Years have received early praise from Time Out NY: "richly melodic, definitely honed, and well suited for liberal-arts majors and their dates." They have also started announcing dates for the almost month long tour that will go on nationally to promote the album. Check the tour section for dates.

The Kin are hanging out on the West Coast for the summer recording, touring and doing a residency at Hotel Café. Be sure to check them out--you don’t want to miss their live show while you have the chance! Check out the tour section for dates.


Dub Pistols head stateside to DJ and Perform at Bullrun 2008
The Dub Pistols’ Barry Ashwroth and Rodney P will be heading stateside to DJ and perform at all of the after parties along the route of the Bullrun Rally. The Bullrun Rally 2008 is a legendary annual cross country car rally, which spans over a week involving 100 cars, celebrities and a party in a different city every night. Initiated in 2004 and running annually, it is the most glamorous and high profile “luxury lifestyle” automotive rally. Each year, cars and individuals from around the world embark on an epic seven-day rolling road-trip. Bullrun parties across the USA, bringing together a celebrity-strewn cast of characters where, for an unforgettable adventure, the only obligatory goals are to party, drive and enjoy!

The guys will be in the following cities along the route:

chris and thomas will be hitting the road starting mid-August and will continue until early December. The dates will take the duo up the west coast, from LA to Washington, and then down the east coast, from New York to North Carolina.

Fashion designer, Richie Rich curates a new compilation for Defend Music--Music you can wear
Famed fashion designer, club kid, man about town and general VIP, Richie Rich has currated his first CD. The compilation, Richie Rich Presents: Celebutante, is full of fun, dancey, vibrant, rowdy tracks; the perfect mix of music you would expect from somebody as creative and outgoing as Richie Rich. Tracks on the album will include bangers from the likes of Kelis, Lily Allen, Blondie, Scissor Sisters, and of course a track from Richie Rich, himself.

Look for Celebutante in stores September 2008.



Home Video to release Live Session EP
Home Video will release a digital only Live Session EP on July 29th. This live session, recorded last year, includes 5 tracks. There are four live versions of tracks from the No Certain Night or Morning album and a cover of PJ Harvey’s, A Perfect Day Elise.


The Kin's songs featured on Army Wives June 9, 2008
Lifetime Network's hit show Army Wives has featured The Kin's Nowhere to Now Here on the second season premiere June 8th. The song is now available for a limited time as a free download at the Army Wives site. If you missed the premiere no worries you can check it out here.

The Kin will also have a song featured in the second episode airing Sunday June 14th. The song, Time, was written just for the show and has never been released. So be sure to check out the show and then the site for the free download!

Tina Dico featured in Enteratinment Weekly and LA Times!
Hitting newsstands February 4th, Entertainment Weekly has spotlighted Tina Dico's single "Sacre Coeur" in their Choice Cuts section. The single, in which "the London-based Danish beauty muses about Paris streets at sunset" is cut from Tina's new album Count to Ten, released in full on April 8th.

We are very excited to announce the upcoming release of the new Tina Dico record Count to Ten. The new album will release on Defend Music April 8, 2008.

For those who just can't wait to get their hands on the album "On the Run" the first single from the album is out now exclusively on iTunes.

People Magazine recently reviewed "On the Run" as a Hot Download saying "The Danish singer featured by Zero 7, delivers the moving midtempo rock of "On the Run".
